Poultry meat production increased in Kazakhstan

As of January 1, 2017, the total number of poultry in Kazakhstan amounted to 36.9 million heads, which is 3.4 million more than in 2012. The growth was 10.1% (data of the Committee on Statistics of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan).
The same is true for hens laying hens. Growth from 2012 to 2016 amounted to 13.1%, from 17.6 to 19.9 million heads.
Naturally, with the growth of livestock there is also an increase in the production of poultry meat. So, since 2012, production has increased by 24% or 29.6 thousand tons and amounted in 2016 to 152.7 thousand tons of poultry meat.
The increase in poultry meat production is due to the opening of new production facilities and the expansion of existing facilities in order to not only cover the domestic demand for chicken meat, but also to enter foreign markets and export high-quality Kazakhstani products. Also, the reason for the increase in production is a gradual change in the population's food culture, which in recent years has favored a healthier diet, as well as an increase in the population, and as a result, an increased demand for poultry meat.
