Prices for wheat in the RK in the spring period show a trend towards a decline
The cost of wheat is determined by many factors, both external and internal market. For example, during the period under review 2015-2017. Such events as wheat quality, unstable exchange rates, export orientations of the countries of exporters and importers, the global economic crisis, and others influenced the formation of wheat prices. But the analysis of indicators for similar periods of previous years shows that seasonal price fluctuations remain unchanged. In the spring period, prices show the same trend every year.
The change in the price of wheat of the 3rd class of soft varieties in 2015, in the last ten days of April, compared to the beginning of March, was 6%, thus, the cost of wheat decreased by 2 209 tenge per ton. As of March 5, 2015, the average market value of wheat soft grade 3 was 37,931 tenge, on April 23 the value dropped to 35722 tenge.
A similar picture emerged in 2016, when at the beginning of March the cost of wheat was 48 722 tenge, by the end of April the price decreased by 3% and reached an average of 47412 tenge in the republic.
In the current year there is also a trend towards a price reduction fixed since the beginning of March 2017. As of March 5 this year. The value of wheat of grade 3 in the Republic of Kazakhstan was KZT 48 121 per ton, by the third decade of April, the price was reduced to 3%, amounting to KZT 46894.
Marked, over the past three years, the trend of lowering the price of wheat is due to quite understandable reasons for the seasonal nature. The waiting period for the maximum price increase for the purpose of more profitable sales is exhausted. Further, the expectation of price increases is not advisable, since it is time to release and prepare storage facilities for the future harvest, besides, the services for storing wheat at elevators impose an additional burden on the peasants' budget. At the same time, the risk of insects infecting grain increases, which significantly affects the quality and cost of wheat. Funds are required to purchase seeds and repay loans received for the purchase of agricultural equipment.
Annually in the above-mentioned period in the grain market there is a certain revival, the number of transactions increases, an objective market price is formed.
